Norwegian Launches Service from Las Vegas to London and Oslo

Norwegian Launches Service from Las Vegas to London and Oslo

October 31, 2016) – Norwegian today launches its third nonstop destination from Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport to London, followed by nonstop service to Oslo on November 1. The airline launched its first two nonstop routes from Las Vegas, Copenhagen and Stockholm, in November 2015.

“Our Las Vegas routes are performing well, so I am confident that the new service to London and Oslo will also be a local favorite. Nevadans have shown that they truly appreciate our new aircraft, low fares and award-winning service – and that is a testament to the great relationship we have with McCarran International Airport and the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority,” said Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian’s Chief Commercial Officer. “Our mission has always been that everyone should afford to fly, and this year we’ve made that mission a reality by increasing frequency and adding capacity on several transatlantic routes. We look forward to welcoming even more passengers onboard – whether they are from Nevada or the surrounding area, as well as bringing tens of thousands more European visitors to the United States.”

“McCarran is pleased to welcome this additional service from Norwegian. Last year, the airline invested significantly in Las Vegas with the introduction of service from Copenhagen and Stockholm, and the customers’ response was overwhelmingly positive,” said Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation, McCarran International Airport. “We’re confident Norwegian’s new service to London-Gatwick and Oslo will be equally well received, making it easier than ever for travelers to fly between Las Vegas and some of Europe’s greatest cities.”

“We are honored to expand our valued partnership with Norwegian in providing outstanding options for travelers in the UK and Oslo, to experience everything Las Vegas has to offer,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the LVCVA. “Las Vegas welcomed a record-breaking 42.3 million visitors in 2015 and we look forward to welcoming more travelers from the UK and Oslo with the addition of these convenient nonstop routes.”

Norwegian operates one of the world’s youngest fleets comprised of brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. All long-haul flights include dual class (Premium and Economy) service. The airline’s service to London will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, while weekly service to Oslo will operate on Tuesdays. The carrier already operates weekly, nonstop service to Stockholm on Saturdays and Copenhagen on Sundays. Review Norwegian’s low fare calendar to find the lowest available fares to these, and all of Norwegian’s destinations.

In addition to these new Las Vegas routes, Norwegian will also launch service from Fort Lauderdale to Guadeloupe this year (December 17). In 2017, the carrier will launch the following routes: Oakland/San Francisco to Copenhagen (March 28); Los Angeles to Barcelona (June 5); New York/Newark to Barcelona (June 6); Oakland/San Francisco to Barcelona (June 7); and Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona (August 22).
